Carlos Yamamoto
Founder
Former Vice President for North Latin America at Bureau Veritas Commodities. Managing strategic planning, P/L operation, new business development, capex for new growth projects and team building in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Venezuela y Curacao, with focus in O&G, coal, metals and minerals, agriculture and environmental services.
Prior to his tenure at BV, Carlos collaborated for 29 years in the Pemex Group, earning an extensive experience in Mexico’s O&G industry, in several management positions including: tankers management, offshore crude oil operations, petroleum products terminal operations and in charge of the claims and loss control department in PMI. He was chairman of the Committee of Petroleum Measurement Accountability at the API (2004 to 2007) and active member for 30 years, contributing to the development of standards for the oil industry.
Carlos has chief officer and engineer degrees from Escuela Nautica Mercante de Veracruz; a maritime law diploma from University of Southampton; and an executive MBA diploma from Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, IL.
